Flexible Door Technology 2014 Ltd

A need in the market for access and environmental control solutions was recognised. In 1992 Flexible Door Technology Ltd was formed as a privately owned company with the intention of becoming a specialist in this field.

We were the first company in New Zealand to introduce a rapid rise door for a freezer application.

We started out in a small unit in the Blackheath building in Sydenham, Christchurch. With the establishment of a branch in Auckland we were able to install and service our products in both North and South Islands. Following further business growth, we moved to larger premises in Kingsley Street in Sydenham and then in 2006 to our former Lock Crescent building in Hillsborough, Christchurch. In 2021 a new and exciting chapter began, with the moving of Flexible Doors into the current larger premises, of 80 Chapmans Road, Hillsborough.

We are a major supplier to the supermarket industry. Our core range of products are specified within New Zealand’s largest supermarket chains. Our products stand out in the dairy, packhouse, refrigeration, distribution and general warehouse industries.

After 22 years the founding owners sold the business in 2014. The owners of Flexible Door Technology 2014 Ltd adopted the same core values as the founding owners and have continued to develop the business from strength to strength. The focus on access and environmental control solutions remains.

We have established very strong business relationships, built on our company ethos and we will only ever offer products that are fit for purpose.
