Product Introduction

What are flexible doors?

What are flexible doors and what makes them different to conventional doors?

"Flexible doors" are doors you have when you don't want doors. They are:”

  • doors you can walk through, drive through, see through;
  • doors you don't have to open and close;
  • doors that don't slow traffic movements;
  • doors that let light in, but keep out dust, birds, insects, draughts, rain, cold, heat, etc;
  • doors that operate quietly and deaden noise

Products at a glance

A "flexible door" provides a "hands-free" barrier between incompatible envronments. They can be either impact operated, or automatic, no-contact styles.

Impact operated doors, e.g. strip curtains and swing doors, are simply pushed through and fall or swing back into place. Their construction is designed to absorb impact without either inflicting or suffering damage.

High speed doors depend on a sensor to detect traffic and open (and close) automatically providing a fast, no-contact solution.
